The Wool Trilogy books are the best books I’ve ever read. I was very hesitant to watch Wool because I had such a vivid internal vision of this post-apocalyptic world from the books, and I didn’t want to ruin it. Also, I’m already halfway through season 1 and it’s not like the books in the best way!
I mean, there’s the background, events, and premise that made the books great
However, most of the detailed plot is completely new and embellished and fills in the gaps in things that were hinted at or covered up in the books. I’m glad I still kept the separate version of the books in my head, and the show is like a fun new version. I have to say, they did a GREAT job with the casting and the sets.
Super well done!
A lot of it was exactly how I imagined it. But the differences set the book apart, and I love it. This is probably the first time I’ve been happy that a show isn’t like the books, but I still really like it.
