In flashbacks, a family joins a cosmic cult that promises redemption on Jupiter. As their past unravels, their teenage daughter must choose between following her parents into the cult or choosing her own path on Earth. Jupiter Remake (2019). "Jupiter" is a beautifully crafted film that delves into the inner world of a teenage girl who not only faces the challenges of uncertainty, but also the trials of her disabled younger brother and her parents' descent into madness. The dizzying landscape and space border on sci-fi and even psychological horror. In the conversation after the film, it struck me that the first comment was one of empathy for the parents. I had to counter that in the madness and terror of the world, children are tragically and inexplicably overlooked. I even noted that many adults are not helping. The director insisted that they should be reintegrated into a “good democratic society” and even that their terrible deeds should not be ignored (may it be well-intentioned). Nevertheless, his film seems to be an autopsy of the vulnerability of adults in difficult situations, but it is an ode to their children. P. S. At the Sofia Film Festival, it won the YOUNG JURY PRIZE for the film in the International Competition.
