I can understand the criticism, it’s not the most original storyline, but I did find it refreshing in a way
This is not one of those horrors where no one believes a person, it happens to everyone, and they actually ask to avoid it – the police take it seriously, the family comes to the rescue, etc.
I think people are just too busy looking for the next “new” thing, the next unpredictable twist, but don’t give due to old-fashioned history or legends

Plus Sam Claflin is great and his acting is as good as ever
I liked it, I didn’t get bored and didn’t try something else, so I would say that it’s worth a try.
