Growing up in the Amazon rainforest gave Autumn the most unlikely of friendships: a lost jaguar cub she discovers named Hope. When a tragic event forces Autumn to leave Hope for the unknown in New York, she dreams of returning to the rainforest and her longtime friend. At 14 and having adjusted to city life, Autumn discovers that her childhood town is threatened by animal traffickers and decides she must return to the Amazon with her beloved jaguar. Anja (Emily Bett Rickards), Autumn’s lovable but clumsy biology teacher, tries unsuccessfully to talk her out of this ill-advised plan. Together with Anja, Autumn embarks on a journey to reunite with Hope and save her from those who would destroy the rainforest and its wildlife.
